Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha has come out to perform his civic duty by voting in the Presidential election.
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state and wife, Nkechi, have casted their votes for the 2019 Presidential/National Assembly elections at ward 2 Ogboko in Ideato South local government area of Imo state.
Okorocha arrived at about 11:04 after accreditation and casted his vote by 11:20am.
When the governor was asked if he was aware of an incident of ballot box snatching, he said he had a rumour of ballot box snatching at Osemoto in Oguta local government area.
He also reacted to the murder of an APC chieftain in Umuebom, Ideato South LGA. The governor said that it was just a disagreement between two brothers.
Okorocha said: “I am here with my wife at ward 2 Ogboko, For now I will say that everything is going on well. There is security every where.
“I also had the rumour of ballot box snatching in Osemoto, among other areas. But given the presidency order many people are afraid. If not by now you will see alot of people carrying ballot boxes.
“However, surprisingly there is no voter apathy. Our people have realized that it is for the future of this country. I have full confidence that Buhari will win and I will also win my senatorial election with God on our side.”
